You, standing there like an inextinguishable

Light of our territory that has been kept

Through out milleniums of our history

 

That began in the north east of Asia;

백두산에서 뻗어 내린 마지막 핏방울로

태어났음이여!

 

형제들이 날마다 파도소리 들으며

물새소리에 네 소식에 귀기울이지만

외롭게 멀리 둔 부모의 심정 또한 어떠하리

 

그러나 한 하늘 이고 있는

우리의 역사는 만주벌판에서부터

말발굽으로 다져진 땅이거늘

그 위에 동해의 끝간데

꺼지지 않는 등불로 오늘에 이르렀음이여

 

장하다, 장하도다!

북소리 울리며 전진하는 우리는

아리랑 민족인 것을
